Vehicle description

I have come to theconclusion that I have too many projects and so my 78 MGB one must go. PHOTOS OF THE CAR WITHOUT THE WINDSHIELD SO IT AS IT LOOKED WHEN I BROUGHT IT HOME. A lot of progress has happened since then, read more below: Seats have alreadybeen reupholstered in red leather. Most of the new red carpet kit is in and oneof the two door panels are on. This includes the new carpeting in the rear trunk. It also has the expensive red MacGregor "Bristleflex" door sealswhich are now installed (they were $177 all by themselves). The dash wasrecovered and it looks pristine, it is in process of going back in - shouldn"tbe too tough to finish. A chrome roll bar comes with the car but is more forcosmetic purposes and I would not rate it as functional. Car also has the upgradedpneumatic struts on the rear trunk lid and a complete new lockset for the trunkand doors. A brand new windshieldis now installed with new rubber and the doorglass and wing windows are re-installed with new rubber as well. C hassis is solid andno rust - is a real California car. New Silver paint was applied and while notperfect is nice for a driver. Car was stripped down for the paintwork to bedone. All areas that were not silver were painted black. Engine runs nicely, isequipped with a Mikuni slide carb - very efficient and increases throttleresponse. I fired the engine up and saw good oil pressure and it ran smoothlyand quietly. As far as the fuel system goes it also has a NEW gas tank (andsender) installed and a new fuel pump installed as well. There are receipts foralmost $3700 in major engine work that included a new cylinder head, new clutch(heavy-duty competition style), new pilot bearing, new clutch slave, numerousnew belts and hoses, new gaskets, new oil pump and more. Transmission also receivedjust over $1200 for disassembly and rebuild, along with new u-joints and otherdriveline work. The transmission is an overdrive unit and received a new O/Dsolenoid also. Exhaust system is new as well. It has nice aftermarket alloywheels. A new top is includedwith the car and all of the top frame is there. The list of other new partsthat come with the car is extensive and my rough calculation of the new itemspurchased to complete the car and the work done to the engine and transmissiontotals just shy of $12,000 (yes you read that correctly), based on the receiptsthat came with the car. Many of these new parts are already on the car now. The originalwindshield comes with the car as do two spare doors and a variety of other usedparts that include two radiators, one or two heads, extra gauges, etc. The bumpers werereconditioned while they were off of the car and look very nice, they are nowreinstalled. It has a new battery that is now installed along with a new plastic battery "tub." I think you get thepicture here, this is a nice MGB that has a solid drivetrain, solid chassiswith nice paint and interior, likely all the parts to complete it and just needssomeone to finish her up. I have several owners manuals and such that go withthe car, including the receipts package. The title is a cleanCalifornia one, not salvage, the car is also in a non-op condition so no backfees are due. Car is located in Southern California and if I need to I can workwith your shipper to get the car picked up. I will behappy to send add"l photos or info to anyone that has an interest.
