Vehicle description

About this vehicle The best of Luck bidding on this 1978 Mercedes-Benz 450SL is all original, with original OEM replacement parts. Front end suspension work, new timing chain, and new locking actuators, where one key opens all doors. (this feature does not work 100% of the time. ) I have owned it for 3 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. I think this car cost around $26,000-$28,000 in 1978. It never fails to start. It has never leaked, oil, brake fluid or anything on the ground since I have owned it. Being almost half a century old, it does have a scuff or two ( like a chip). The splendor is self evident. According to my mechanic, the 76-79 are easier to find parts for than the 80"s models. Seller"s Notes My attempt at full disclosure. The power antenna does not work. The Horn does not work. The Becker original radio DOES work but I believe it needs some contact cleaner, in the tape head. The dash has a few cracks in it. If you would like to see more pictures just let me know. . The car starts every time with no troubles. There is a tear about an inch and a half long in the drivers seat.
