About this vehicle This 1978 Lincoln Town Coupe is an original. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for car shows. Seller"s Notes Town Coupe, 460, fixed glass roof, mint condition. Vehicle Details 1978 Lincoln Town Coupe with the rare fixed glass roof. This car was ordered and delivered to a Canadian DSO so it does have metric instrumentation as the primary scale. It has a little over 61,000 miles. The car has been shown and judged nationally and has won multiple awards for condition and originality, the paint is original but has been painstakingly polished and ceramic coated for durability and preservation. The paint and body are flawless. For the last show I had the wheels professionally reconditioned and a new and correct Valino grain vinyl top installed. The engine compartment and undercarriage has been fully detailed as well, it has been judged against cars with 5,000 miles and less and has achieved a higher scores for originally and appearance as well. It is as beautiful underneath as it is on top. I do maintain the car to use and do frequently drive it to events whenever possible, everything works as designed including the air conditioner which is still currently charged with freon. This is a car that can be enjoyed regularly for driving anywhere as well as showing and winning. So this always leads into the question “why are you selling it?” I have many cars, two of which are Lincoln’s and I have realized I like modifying them more than maintaining an original. This particular car is one that I couldn’t bring myself to do some of the things that I would like to as far as the engine and suspension is concerned. That being said if nobody is willing or able to take this thing off my hands it will most likely be in California at the show in May if it is still on.
