Vehicle Details I am only the second owner of this exceptional Ranger XLT. I bought it from the original purchaser. It shows 110,377 miles. She bought it new from Starr Motors in Big Timber Montana in 1978 and it has been there in central Montana since then. It was her pride and joy and kept it in the garage and took extremely good care of it. Well Documented. I have the original Ford build sheet, original owner Card, and Owners Manual. Also a handwritten letter verifying her ownership until 2020. Still looks stunning in its original Code "A" Raven Black paint which is still shiny. Body is very straight with zero evidence of any rust. Lower rockers and front of hood do have some small chips from the road. Original owner did touch up a few rock chips and very small scratches. Options included Ranger XLT Package, 4x4 Option, 400 CI V8, 4 Speed Transmission, Chrome Front Bumper, Headliner, Dual Fuel Tanks, Tinted glass all around, Rear Sliding Window, Cab Lights, Dual Tire Carriers in bed, AM Radio (still works), Chrome Grill Guard, Ammeter and oil pressure gauges, rear painted step bumper. No PS. Comes with 6 BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A's LT235/85/R16 with few miles, on original Steel rims which have been repainted in original off white. Engine starts easily, sounds quiet, and doesn't smoke. Transmission and Clutch work smoothly. It is a joy to drive down the road, no pulling, vibrations, or weird squeaks, creaks, or rattles. The beautiful Red Interior is all in great shape and I was told it was all original, but it looks to me like carpet was redone at one time. Dash board and steering wheel in great shape All glass is very good also. All lights and gauges work except for the aux. fuel tank. Even the horn still works. When I bought it there was a sheet of plywood in the back, I'm not a plywood guy so I removed it and found a nice bed with a little bare metal showing from plywood rubbing so I had it Rhino Lined. Chassis is also rust free, looks original and relatively clean. I have owned for 1 1/2 years, have put about 400 miles on, and it has been very reliable. I am a retired and love old cars. I buy one keep it for a year or two, enjoy it, then look for something new to tinker with and enjoy. I found something new and now need to find a home for my truck.
