For sale is my 1978 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT finished in beautiful Dark Jade Metallic Green over Wimbledon White with flawless green Indian blanket interior. This heavily optioned Bronco was ordered by the dealer September 20th 1977 and sold on November 1st of the same year by Oakley-Keesee Ford of Memphis Tennessee. Since then this amazing Bronco has undergone a complete frame off restoration and a few upgrades (see below). The Marti report included in the gallery below lists all the Broncos options but some that stand out include 400CI engine, air conditioning, center console, exterior tire carrier, sliding windows, the Ranger XLT package and much more. This Bronco is powered by a rebuilt 400 CI V8 backed by a C6 Automatic. Holley Sniper fuel injection has been added during the restoration for turn key reliability. The Bronco runs and drives as it would new. The air conditioner now has a modern Sanden compressor and will freeze you out. The Dana 44 front axle and Limited slip Ford 9” rear are fit with 3.50 gears. All suspension joints were replaced during the restoration, all brakes and lines are new as well. New Rancho 5100 shocks were installed at all 4 corners as well as a set of factory 15x8 wagon wheels with new BFG K02 33x12.5R15 tires, including the spare. I can provide a complete list of all components changed during the restoration but nothing was left untouched. The rust free body was stripped to bare metal and refinished in the Bronco’s factory dark jade over Wimbledon using PPG base coat/clear coat materials. All the factory race track molding is in excellent shape. The bumpers and grille shell are new from Dennis Carpenter. Every weatherstrip on the Bronco has been replaced. The gorgeous green Indian blanket style interior has been fully redone to showroom condition. The seats has been redone back to original. The carpet has been replaced and a modern sound deadening added underneath. The original center console is in excellent shape. The door panels and dash trim has all been replaced with Dennis Carpenter parts. The radio is a Retrosound with Bluetooth and USB capabilities. This is frame off restored ‘78 Bronco is one of the nicest 2nd generation Broncos built to date. It turns heads everywhere it goes for good reason. Ask any and all questions before bidding.
