!978 Ford Bronco project. . Re-listed due to nonpayment It was parked in 2001 due to low engine oil pressure. If you viewed the previous auction it did not run and drive. It now runs, drives and stops. Oil pressure is on the low side. I installed a mechanical gauge and it reads between 5 and 10 psi at idle once warmed up. Will climb to 40 psi when revved. Valve train/lifters rattle and clatter a bit. No vacuum is currently hooked to the engine other than the transmission modulator. Heater core has been bypassed. No coolant leaks. Charging system checks good. Transmission shifts as it should. 4X4 works in both high and low range. Has Warn hubs and they operate smoothly. Brakes work good enough to yard drive and to load on a trailer. Front brakes only. Will need brake system work, low oil pressure issue addressed and other mechanical attention. To get it running I installed the following. . Rebuilt carburetor New fuel pump New starter New starter solenoid Changed the engine oil, oil filter and flushed the fuel system. Over all the body is fairly straight with minor dings and scrapes. There has been some rust repair over both rear wheel openings. Driver"s door has a little rust at the bottom edge. Tailgate has the typical rust at the bottom. There is some small hole"s rusted through the floors on the driver"s and passenger floor board. Rear floor board has a few places with small holes rusted through as well. Nothing to bad in my opinion. Rocker panels appear to be rust free. See pictures. All glass is good. Windshield has a couple rock chips in it. Rear power window works. Would make a cool trail truck or restoration candidate. Blue Texas title. Reasonable reserve. Will help load.
