About this vehicle This 1978 Dodge Ramcharger is an original with updates to the drivetrain. The owner has had it for 5 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Vehicle Details For sale 1978 Ramcharger Clean 14 digit vin title. ◦ Arizona Truck . Period correct 318 V8 with approximately 40k miles 727 torqueflight automatic trans was rebuilt by me aprox 8k miles ago, upgraded shafts and bands, increased line pressure,valve body slightly modified.transmission oil cooler, hasn’t gotten hotter then 180 degrees since then and it’s been used in 115 degree weather with the air on. Upgraded front axel from GM ( same as it came with) upgraded rear axles myself. Front drilled and slotted rotors and top manufacturer pads, mile marker hubs as well all less then 4K on them. Motor and trans mounts replaced, dual battery set up. New wiper arms and blades clear coated, roll bar is included, just got to put it in and paint lower contact points ( k2 sunburst orange) alternator is new rebuilt, carburetor is a replacement , original if I can find it will come with it. 2v carter . No factor Air cleaner I may have it I gotta look and it’s a possibility only. Ivan got one tell him you bought my truck or I’ll call him. Dash rough, door panels needed, seats rough. Made truck reliable. Dove it every day for a year. No leaks no temp issues heater core will need to be repaired don’t replace it it’s the original one and you can’t get one that good anymore I didn’t need heat it’s Phoenix. AC works fine and lights and gauges work fine, original key still in use. Top is in fantastic shape seeing as its 43 years old and the hatch and the hatch lock works as designed so does the tailgate. Top never taken off by me and it looks like it hasn’t ever. New windshield and seal. 35”Cooper Tires have about 6k miles on them. Paint is original and there is no rot anywhere surface rust on left rear quarter behind wheel is still solid it’s AZ I haven’t touched it. All panels sprayed from underneath with MP 51 straight from Chrysler. Rockers and all the places water holds. I planned on being buried in this truck. I work for Chrysler and Chrysler dealerships from coast to coast for 26 years and have been looking for one for 20 till I found this one. Dyna mat new Carpet is correct color and American made. When I got the truck was sitting in a driveway same spot several auto dealerships in the area , every one thought they heard the guy won’t sell it. Knocked on his door one day while on lunch. 1hr lunch turned to 2. We agreed on a price. I bought the AW everyone thought he wouldn’t sell. Towed his pop up twice a year. Kids to old now he said. I could get in it right now and drive it to Maine and wouldn’t think twice about it making it back. I turned down $15&16 k. Would rather sell my XJ it’s not done. Girl doesn’t like driving the RC anyway. Time for a Cummins anyway.  Exterior Ramcharger AW100, original paint! Interior Floors solid, all of it. New sound Amanda heat barrier (Dyna Mat).
