Vehicle description
Rare 1978 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham 2-Door Coupe. Only 79,121 original miles!
Great engine!
Great transmission!
Clean title!
Can be driven daily. Very clean for the year. Was previously owned by an elderly gentleman who took good care of it. No leaks and does not burn oil! Tires have lots of tread!
This car floats down the road! Has soft comfortable couch-like seats. This was the last year before they started shrinking the size of these New Yorker yachts.
Only things it needs is the wiper blade motor installed (I have included the part, I just don"t know how to install it), and both the driver side and passenger windows are off track. Very slight dent in driver side door and a few minor paint scratches on the body here and there. The frame underneath has a little bit of surface rust but is otherwise very very solid and clean as you can see from the pictures. There"s a very small tear in the seam of the upholstery of the front driver"s seat that"s hardly noticeable, but otherwise the interior is in immaculate condition! Could use an A/C recharge. Could also use a little break work, although the car is very drivable and stops fine. One out of the four front headlights went out and needs replacing. Vinyl could be adjusted where it meets the back seat windows, but has no rips or stains.
I have driven this car about 4 times since I"ve owned it and it is a dream. I love the soft suspension on these big body old schools. It starts up every time and shifts very well. It is very quiet when it"s riding as well as when it"s idling. With that said however, I do keep it under a car cover 99% of the time. It"s a beautiful luxurious experience to drive and sit in. With a little bit of tender loving care here and there and she"ll be showroom ready in no time!
Car also comes with a bunch of extra parts including:
- a second full sized spare tire and cover
- an extra set of wheels and hubcaps,
- 2 replacement wiper motors,
- an extra front grill (even though the grill currently on the car is perfect),
- an extra pair of chrome wheel wells,
- a box of 8-tracks ;),
- Will also include the quality car cover which was purchased from www.carcovers.com.
- other miscellaneous parts.
