“I purchased this Spitfire over 10 years ago. The paint was old but no rust anywhere. The engine/compartment was very dirty and parts broken and missing. The padding in the seats was in terrible shape and upholstery torn. Seat frames broken. So, after several years of work this car has had a major makeover. The engine runs a little rough until it warms up. You can see the changes in the “Item Description”. I am selling this car under an “As Is” contract with no warranty.” |

Vehicle description
This car is almost completely resotored with a few custom touches. If you want to drive something that is soooo much fun, then this is the convertible for you. I have shown this car in several shows and always get kudos for it’s look and make. It is strictly a sunshine car, but, I do have a brand new vinyl top that is not yet installed. Let me state that this is not a muscle car but way too much fun to drive. It’s a great rally car and there have been more rally wins in this style of car than many others in it’s class. (Just a side note that Mazda used the Spitfire frame and suspension as the original prototype for the Miata). The paint and body work is not professional quality but still looks great. Here is a list of just some of the vehicle’s equipment and/or improvements: *Engine - 1493 CC 4 cylinder *4 speed manual transmission *AM/FM Radio CD player (two way speakers behind seats and high freq. tweeters mounted in dash) *Refinished Mahogany Dashboard *Minimal body work completed *Weber Carburetor w/manual choke and downdraft intake manifold *Cylinder head magna fluxed and valve job completed *Several parts professionally powder coated *5 Spoke Wheels custom powder coated *Fuel Tank - Acid washed painted and new sending unit installed *New Weather Strips and seals all around *New Tail Light lense *New Wiper motor *New Washer Pump *New Electric Fuel Pump and Filter *New Monza Chrome Quad Exhaust System (purrs like a kitten) *New Upholstory and carpet kit - sound dampening in doors and floors *All Electrical connections improved (soldered or new connectors) *New Timing Chain and Tensioner *New Steering rack boots and bushings *New Tie Rod Sets *New Rear U joint *New Rear Differential *LED warning lights on Door Jams *LED Lights mounted in rear boot *LED lights in foot space of Driver and Passenger *Map Light *Vinyl Top (included but not installed) * New Clutch Kit *New Slotted Cross Drilled Brake Rotors *New Custom Aluminum Flywheel *New Front Shocks *New Paint interior and exterior *New Bullet review mirrors *Rebuilt and painted seat frames.
