About this vehicle This 1977 Jaguar XJ6L is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle is drivable. Vehicle Details See description above. Exterior This 1977 Jaguar XJ6L was used as a garage kept personal car in Van Nuys California until 1995. Engine was upgraded to 350 Ci Chevrolet engine with 800 series overdrive transmission and suspension upgrades. The car was moved to Kentucky in the early 2010s. California emissions was replaced with Magna Flow exhaust. New four barrel carburetor with dual electric choke, new rims and end caps, and Maaco certified repaint in 2019 when the car was placed in storage. I have updated climate control. Lighting has been updated to automatic headlights and all burnt out lights replaced. All gushed cleaned and calibrated. All surfaces polished, oiled and trimmed with felt backing after re-gluing leather covering exclusive of wood which was oiled on both sides. Old sound proofing has been removed from undercarriage and the interior. Modern butyl fire resistant sound proofing and thermal insulation has been installed. New wiper motor, park switch and transmission. New heating hoses and thermocouple. New belts and tensioner. New power steering rack and neoprene bushings. Full thrust alignment. Inspection by racing engine builder, racing engine installer, US Navy welder certified in aluminum repair who now exclusively does auto welding, and classic British car enthusiast knowledgeable about 1960s-1980s automobiles. All agree that the upgrades are properly installed and appropriate to era car. This car needs an owner to take it one of two directions. Fuel cell could be added to the trunk and current tanks converted to venting with option of eventually installing EFI, electronic SPARK advance. Alternatively, the Maaco paint could be removed. The original fuel system could be restored with the 4PSI pump I have obtained and the car used as a show car. The Jaguarcis a survivor with original interior exclusive of radio upgraded.
