Vehicle description
1977 ford Mustang II Cobra II V8 4bbl Edelbrock carb and dual exhaust with 72k original miles. Have title to document it.
A good running daily driver that looks and runs good. For sure has a few quirks and issues for a 40 year old car. I will tell you everything I know, the good and the bad.
I purchased this car with 58k on it and have been using it as a daily driver in the summer for the last 4 years. When I purchased it I was told that the motor and transmission had been rebuilt. It does burn some oil and idles a little rough at times (always suspected a vacuum leak that I could never find. When I bought it I had done all the tune up stuff plugs, wires etc brakes etc. .It has been a very reliable and safe car. Drives straight, stop and handles very well. The transmission will delay going into gear on occasion in the colder weather only for a few seconds though. shifts okay at every other time. The paint is shiny but aged and has blisters and cracks in a few places. Tear bumper has cracks at both corners. The stripe decals are pealing from the roof. Drivers seat torn. Passenger door bottom is rusted on inside. Radiator support bottom is rusted which I know is common. Frame and floors are solid. Speedometer will stick on on 0 on occasion but only for a minute or two. All other gauges work properly. Headliner, rugs, dash are all in good shape. 14 inch tires, wheels replaced about 10k miles ago.
Please keep in mind that this a 40 year old car. I have tried my best to describe it properly. It is a great car but please be understanding that it needs a lot of work to be perfect. You could leave it like it is or would be great restored.
I will gladly answer any questions.
Thank you
