Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1977 Ford F-150 is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle runs great and is used as a daily driver. Vehicle Details 1977 Ford F-150 Ranger XLT Clean NY title in my name 115,000 original miles. New carpet, front seat reupholstered, window sweeps replaced, new stereo (am/fm/cd/blue tooth & usb) and mild amp (behind glove box) New ignition and door locks (one key operates all of them) Has the factory passenger side tool box built into the quarter panel and it works properly and seals properly. 460 cu in, edelbrock carb with electric choke. No issues starting in any weather. Pump gas pedal twice and she fires up. Pump once in warm weather. New chrome rear bumper with step pad. Factory air conditioning converted to R134A blows ice cold. 4 new tires (less than 100 miles) 31x10.5 Wheels are later model (I think 1986) factory Bronco steel wheels with trim rings and center caps. Spare is on matching wheel. Dual fuel tanks work as they should. Main tank is extra capacity 38 gallon tank and is brand new. Sender is brand new & fuel filler and vent hoses are brand new. Auxiliary tank is 19 gallon tank and was replaced a couple of years ago. New fuel filler and vent line. Delay wipers work properly. The fuel tank selector switch operates and both fuel sending units operate. Master cylinder and both master cylinder lines are brand new this week. Both front calipers are rebuilt calipers this week. New rear brake shoes last month. New alternator and voltage regulator September. Rebuilt starter and new starter solenoid September. Brand new tonneau cover. Sliding rear window. Horn works. All lights work. New glove box. Has the original oak wood center console from the 1970’s (refinished and cork lined professionally) Exhaust is dual exhaust and about a year and a half old. The exhaust is loud. I think I have flowmasters on there. Drives great. Tons and tons of torque. This truck is a daily driver and as you can see with what has been replaced I take care of it. Mechanically it’s solid and the interior is immaculate. It drives great and it’s comfortable winter or summer. Only things I can say are wrong with this truck is: 1) Sun visors are garbage so I removed them (they come with the truck) 2) slight vibration from about 34mph to 40 mph I haven’t packed the front wheel bearings or greased the kingpins in a while but I’m thinking the U-joints are the cause. They’re old and not loose but my gut tells me that’s what the problem is. It’s too damn cold and I’m not doing any more work on it this year. 3) front of the inside of the bed has a line of rust through (see picture) no water gets into the bed. It rusted because it sat for a number of years and leaves wedged between the can and the bed and that’s what caused it. 4) some rust on front of hood (see pics front of hood) 5) some rust on tailgate (see pics) 6) dash pad is cracked and I never bothered to replace it 7) not original air cleaner 500 deposit (PayPal) at auctions end Vehicle must be picked up within 5 business days of auctions end unless we make alternate arrangements. The balance payable with cash or a bank check. If you’re anywhere near Westchester county NY and you’d like to come and see her just contact me and we can set a time.
