Vehicle description
1977 Ford F-150 Custom. I am the third owner. Original owner purchased the truck new from Matthew’s Ford in Asheville, NC. He immediately removed the 351 and replaced it with a 390 dual quad motor. It has a solid lifter camshaft, 428 crankshaft and heads, twin Holley carbs. Motor was rebuilt by Lawrence Racing Engines in New York about 10 years ago. Dyno sheet shows 413.5 HP with 479.1 torque. It runs fantastic, idles around 900 RPM, and easily cruises at 70 MPH. 49,000 miles, original paint and interior. 4 speed transmission with new clutch. There is a tear on the lower seat cushion, but I couldn’t talk myself into replacing it. There are a few minor rust spots on the driver side door and rear of the bed as well as some tiny rock chips on the hood from normal use. I only used the truck sparingly to run errands around the house and attend local cruise nights. It has been completely babied and always kept in climate controlled storage. Rock solid bed and cab. Aftermarket stereo with amp and sub box. Underneath is all original. Documentation includes original bill of sale, Owner Warranty ID Card, original owners manual, and dyno sheet. This is one of the best Ford trucks that I have seen of this era and I have owned several of them. A true time capsule.
