INTERNATIONAL AND OVERSEAS BUYERS WELCOME.
Offered here today is a 1977 Ford Bronco Ranger 4x4 that is uncut, still retains it"s original paint, and is a lifelong rust free California survivor. If you are looking for a lifted, 500 horsepower Coyote powered, absolutely perfect $50k candy paint job rig with huge wheels and tires (while I do think all of those modifications are cool), THIS IS NOT IT! This is a great opportunity to get a hard to find original Bronco that has not been cut up or modified. Everybody knows the values on Early Broncos have gone through the roof. This is a chance to get a nice bone stock example without BAT prices. 77 is the final year of production for this body style and some say the most desired year, especially with the optional Ranger package. It is extremely solid. The body is very straight. The floorboards and frame are excellent. The rockers are excellent. The tailgate and rear cargo area are very solid. The paint is 44 years old and has plenty of chips, cracks, and scratches. Everybody loves it and says the patina is perfect on it but I just want to be upfront and honest. I believe the paint is all original so please be realistic with your expectations. The white paint on the bottom has age/sun cracks too. There is surface rust in spots where the paint has chipped and on the paint as well. It is easily removed and could be cleared over after cleaning it but I have chosen not to do that.
The Bronco is optioned with power steering and power disc brakes. The truck runs and drives extremely well. It is smooth and has plenty of power with the 302 cubic inch small block Ford V-8. It has a column shift three speed automatic transmission that shifts smoothly. The 4WD works fine. The Bronco has current California tags and registration but will need a new Catalytic Converter before passing smog the next time. It was removed and a straight pipe side exit exhaust has been installed so it will not pass the strict California smog test as it sits now. I also have the original smog equipment boxed up and it is all included with the sale. The previous owner lived in an area of CA without smog tests so it was not a concern. Believe it or not, the hard top has only been removed once in it"s lifetime. Replacement weatherstripping was added before it was re-installed. There is no headliner and the paint has faded off on the very top. The blue interior is also original. It is very complete with the only change being an aftermarket stereo in the dash (I would not have done it either) and a really cool steering column bolt-on vintage digital tachometer that I will be happy to keep if you don"t want it. The dashpad has cracks. The door panels are original. The front upholstery has some splits/fraying from age. The carpet is probably original but, if not, it is old. The odometer reads 55,464 but I assume it may be 155,464 although it certainly runs and drives like a lower mile one. Factory hubcaps, good tires. Spare tire carrier with matching hubcap. The original VIN tag that matches the title is still mounted on the glovebox door. Clean, clear California title in hand.
If you want a really cool old un-messed with Bronco that everybody loves, THIS IS IT! If you want a perfect, super shiny show truck, THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT IT! It is totally unrestored which is getting increasingly difficult to find these days. There are tons of restored examples out there. Just remember. .THEY ARE ONLY ORIGINAL ONCE!
I am located in Solana Beach, CA in North County Coastal San Diego. Inspections in person are encouraged. Thanks and good luck!
