Vehicle description
1977 Dodge B200 Tradesman Van. Classic Hot Rod shaggin wagon with just the right amount of 70"s flair. The much sought after short wheelbase version 3/4 ton. Burnt Orange exterior paint, one repaint. Paint in very good condition with normal "driver" wear and defects. Interior upholstery in tan and white with tan suede. Full headliner and wall upholstery. Original dash in perfect shape. Interior carpet in good condition. Original California vehicle, currently with Arizona title, but always located in Sacramento, CA area. Windows in decent shape, but windshield is original with some defects and could use replacing, or not. . Quoted $280 with new chrome trim and gasket, locally. The much more desirable, original rebuilt 360 ci motor with 727 transmission. New torque convertor, fuel pressure requlator. Edelbrock Performer intake and 1406 carb with elec. choke. This motor is very, very healthy and powers this short wheel base van like a proper hotrod. See the video below. . A/C equipt vehicle, but currently not working. Compressor belt hooked up and all there, not sure why it is not working, have not othered checked it out. Seems to be the switch/controls are not working? Brand new 60in Patriot Chrome side pipes with "H" pipe cross over. The crossover pipe makes all the difference in sound, idle and performance. Sounds perfect and looks great. No fluid leaks from motor or transmission and all fresh fluids and filters all the way around. New battery 9/2020. Chassis all greased up and no suspension creaks or squeeks. Brand new Cooper Cobra radials on brand new 5 spoke chrome mags. Offset wheels (tires), Big in the back, small in the front on 15in rims. New window louvers in the rear. All new windshield wipers, plastic bushings and arms. All lights, brake lights and turn signals work as they should. Custom built trailer hitch and brake controller. Power steering and brakes. Runs and drives down the road like it should and brakes hard and in a straight line. Brand new aftermarket Bosch white face tachometer mounted on the column. Aftermarket coolant temp gauge, as the factory gauge was not accurate. All locks work, with locking fuel cap. Front seats in good "driver" condition with lap belts and both swivel to the rear and lock in place. Rear seat has one lap belt on the passengers side and the drivers side of the bench seat has modern style baby seat brackets fabricated and installed. You can snap in a modern baby seat, just like any late model vehicle. Front grill was replaced with a really nice and rare NOS grill from 1973 with custom LED parking lights. All new side marker lamps and new brake light plastic lenses. Undercarriage is super clean and paint detailed in chassis black. Cali car with No rust. Unfortunately, the gas gauge is currently not working. Drivers door needs a little "push" when opening from the inside, not a big deal, but it does need a little shove. Probably just a needs an adjustment. Speedo works as it should, showing 90,540 original miles. This van runs great. Electric choke needs some adjusting (I will try to play with it), as it idles a little high at first. Easy enough to tap the gas and step it down. . but it fires right up everytime and will really get down to business when your right foot feels like it! Absolutely no smoke, leaks or strange noises or issues. It does like to be warmed up prior to driving, like all older, cast iron block vehicles. . It is more of a hotrod than a Van! Also, remember it is a 1977 and has its share of vibration and wind noise, etc. But that should be obvious and expected. This van is not restored, it is basically original with most of its original equipment, but maintained and upgraded over the years. Door and window rubber is a little dry and I assume original. Serviceable, but could use replacement eventually. Still widely available. Anything it may need can be found at your local auto parts supplier and is cheap to maintain. Currently titled in Arizona. I bought this van in California from the previous owner who registered it, but never took it to Arizona. He said it would pass smog in California when I bought it. . However, currently it does not pass smog in California! It actually passes the smog emissions test and evap. test for the year, make and model, but fails the visual test because of the Edelbrock intake and carb. setup. There is no CARB exemption for the Edelbrock parts, they never got around to doing that. . That is right, it passes the sniffer and is within the legal emissions levels mandated by California, but fails the visual and hence cannot be registered as is in this ridiculous state. . Only in California! I am not interested in retrofitting the motor with an original intake and 2 barrel carb. to pass the visual test, so instead, I am selling it. Therefore, this vehicle is being sold with the disclosure that it can not be registered in California without the original intake and carb assembly and accessories retrofitted. (unless you know another way? ?) Please check your state emission requirements before purchasing. Being sold AS-IS, where is. It is at my business in West Sacramento, CA and can be loaded on a transport truck or picked up in person from here. The entire vehicle has been cleaned and sanitized on all surfaces and is ready (covid free) for the next owner. All forms of payment will be screened and or held till cleared, before the vehicle will be released. PayPal deposit of $500 required immediately. NON REFUNDIBLE You have 3 days to complete payment or it will be relisted and you lose your deposit. So please have your ducks in a row before bidding. No exceptions. Message me with any questions.
