Vehicle description
Vehicle Details Volkswagen Beetle - Classic. I have owned and enjoyed this little car for over 11 years now it's time for someone else to enjoy it.What I have done in my tenure: new battery, new master cylinder, new turn signal switch/canceler, repaired tear in lower rear RH fender and repaint, repaired dent in RH front fender and repaint, new fuel pump. The good: Fairly original car, odometer shows 27742, it may be accurate but the car is exempt from odometer disclosure in PA due to it's age so it's impossible to tell although many aspects of it's condition would support that number. Top appears to be original but is showing it's age. Trim is good, everything works as it should with the exception of the interior light above the rear view, it never did and I never messed with it, may very well be the bulb. PA inspected, titled as a classic, plates can be transferred to new PA owner if desired. Interior shows no noticeable wear, seats and dash look great. Car starts right up even in the coldest weather, runs drives great, no shakes, rattles or rolls which also lends credibility to the low odometer number. The bad: Again, top is showing it's age, headliner sagging, a bit rough around at least one edge (see pic), could probably get years of additional service out of it depending on your tastes/standards. Floors are fairly solid with exception of driver's side front, it was patched at some point amateurly, solid and serviceable enough but if I had kept it I planned to do it right. Rims had been painted silver at some point, not a particularly good job, here again if I kept it I planned to blast and repaint them. The tilting mechanisms on both seats need attention, the knob is missing on one and the linkage to the latch has become disconnected on the other. The repaint of both RH fenders is noticeable (see pics) but not too bad. Far from perfect but a fun reliable driver that turns heads and garners comments every outing, drive as is or take to the next level. I have tried very hard to honestly represent this car and am happy to answer any additional questions.
