Vehicle description

1976 Toyota Landcruiser with original 2F engine. Has new Weber 38mm carburetor with electric automatic choke. Starts easily, runs extremely strong, idles beautifully. Has Man-A-Fre six-into-one headers and de-smogged 1974 intake manifold. Front disc / rear drum brakes that work perfectly. New clutch master and slave and new hydraulic lines top to bottom.
This is NOT a daily runner - yet. It is a very solid platform that could be a daily runner easily with some attention to electrics (lights, wipers, horn, etc., don"t work) and a few maintenance items that have gone begging over the past six years.
It is also an OUTSTANDING restoration candidate, something that is becoming very difficult to find. It needs some rust restoration, yes. It needs re-cushioned and re-covered seats, and a new interior - headliner and door panels. Much of the floor is solid, some isn"t. The rear floor is good. The frame is good.
It needs shocks, probably seals and rubber throughout - all the sorts of things a truck like this needs after sitting for years (inside). But it is VERY restorable. Again, not easy to find an unmolested engine/body these days. And this FJ40 you can climb in, turn the key, and drive down the road. For these trucks, that"s a great start.
