Vehicle description
Manta Mirage Mclaren M8 World of Wheels Show Car All Original Finish, Great Condition
This is a custom, hand-built car, designed by Tim and Brad Lovette in the 70/80"s. I found this car at auction and bought it from two small photos of the car pushed against a wall in an old garage. The car was kept mechanically sound and driven on the property. This car is unchanged since it was built in the 1970"s.
Radical custom paint and all pinstripes and lettering is old school hand painted. Engine has a lot of Chrome, valve covers, generator, intake, carb, headers, springs and drive axels are all plated. The interior is 100% complete and I was in the process of putting a half wheel on so my legs fit better under the dash. I will include both wheels with the sale of the car. Car has the original Bridgestone tires and would need to be replaced if driven on the road.
I bought the car on a bill of sale from an auction house and I was planning on filing for a lost title. I would like to sell the car on a bill of sale and it has a clear Vin number and can be registered in any state.
This is a true barn find in that the car really hasn"t been out of the garage or off the owners property for over twenty years.
I have put about $1200 into the car getting it cleaned and running. New Carb, New electronic ignition, new distributor, plug wires, plugs and fluids. I don"t know what size engine it has, but it"s very stout. You can text me to the number in the first photo and I can send more photos and videos of the car.
I"m placing a very reasonable reserve on the car and one of these recently sold on ebay for $15k that needed a lot of work. This is a car you can take to Cars and Coffee tomorrow and turn heads!
I didn"t want to change a thing, it"s so well done and so very solid. Has a full belly pan and even has a custom grill.
Not looking for tire kickers or endless emails, if you want a full sized Hotwheels car, look no further. With very little work you could have a very fast, very cool car.
There are scrapes in the paint and I"ve tried to show most of it in the photos. The right side front fender has a slight crack, but it doesn"t detract from the overall look of the car.
This is sold as-is and what you see is what you are getting. If you have questions, please study the photos carefully.
I"ll help arrange shipping, but would rather you come and bring a trailer and take it away.
$500 deposit due at the end of the sale.
If you are a Big Guy, you may not fit into this car!
