1976 Porsche 911S Sportmatic: Very rare car. I have found build numbers between a low of 58 and a high of 1800. I am not sure of the exact figure. The Sportmatic transmission while not the manual transmission favored by many is a charm to drive. Very simple, and it works seamlessly. Hand pressure on the shifter engages the clutch. Slide the shifter into gear and accelerate. As a true fan of manual cars I was surprised how much fun this car is to drive.
This particular 911S has been subject to a window out repaint which shows very nice. The owner of this car has a very high end body shop in Phoenix. He over saw the work throughout and the quality is very high. I will document the observations i have made while driving the car for a few days to photograph it.
Body: Very little body work was needed. There was absolutely no rust. the chassis pan is still painted the original white. The windows were removed and new window rubber installed when completed.
Interior: Much of the interior is original with the exception of carpet, and trim items.
Motor and Transmission: Both were rebuilt back in 2008, and 2010 respectably. The car runs well, and starts dependably. The A/C is not complete. the compressor is not available.
