About this vehicle This 1976 MG MGB is an original. The owner has had it for 3 years. The vehicle is drivable and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes INSPECTION: VERY IMPORTANT. Vehicle Details NO RESERVE AUCTION…I purchased this roadster approximately two (2) years ago from a veteran’s charity auction in the Orlando, Florida area. A mother had allegedly donated it; her son had been killed while fighting in Afghanistan. It had sat unused for a while prior to the auction donation. Although it was in drivable condition; a complete rehab/cleaning was in order. The complete fuel system was drained and cleaned, including the gas tank, fuel pump and carburetor; and a new battery was installed prior to starting-up the vehicle. The vinyl top is installed and serviceable if ever required. A spare tire and jack however is not included. A very through cleaning and surface rust removal was completed; along with a complete removal and restoration of the engine compartment components. The engine was not rebuilt internally since all items checked out okay. Oil pressure and spark plug condition were fine. The cooling system was completely drained and new anti-freeze installed. The drivers seat upholstery was torn and worn so a complete rebuild of it was completed including a new support structure, foam padding and vinyl upholstery, all items imported from England. The old interior carpeting was removed to inspect the condition of the flooring. Minor surface rust and a couple very small rust holes were observed and repaired. A complete new OEM type carpeting system was then reinstalled. Both the front and rear rubber bumpers and mounts were removed, rustproofed, reconditioned and reinstalled. All new turn signal switches and ignition key system installed in steering column. Any faulty wiring was replaced and connections improved. Vehicle has been driven locally and garage-kept since purchase. All vehicle lighting is working with the exception of the back-up lights; fuel gauge is presently not functional. Both a convertible top and a full cockpit tonneau cover included. A full car cover (as pictured) will also be included with the sale. Vehicle is being sold with no warranties expressed or implied, as-is /where-is! An in-person inspection of the vehicle is highly encouraged…although a really nice MGB for the price…It continues as a “weekend driver” project while restoration efforts continue. . .
