For sale is a 1976 Mercedes Benz 450 SEL 4 Sedan. This W116 body was made from 1972 - 1980. This is the first Mercedes to be known as the S-Class. It is powered by the 4.5 liter V8 engine with the better injection system over the early models.
It is Blue on Blue in great condition. Mechanics are all in order and runs perfectly, without issues. Purchased in 2008 and roughly 5,000 miles have been put on in the last 11 years. The car has had a new paint job along with all the seals replaced (trunk, doors). Seals and closes like a new car. The paint job alone was more than the asking price for this car. Was kept in a climate controlled environment. All maintenance is up to date and needs nothing but, a new driver.
It is currently being stored at Golz Motors in Deerfield, IL. Private Party sale so avoid the dealer fees and pay just $25 in Illinois sales tax. Clear title in hand. Also for sale is a 1981 Mercedes Benz 380SL convertible if you would like a package deal. That one is blue and can be seen in some of the pictures. It is mint as well, purchased that one in 1999.
