Vehicle description

1976 C3 Corvette Stingray: This C3 has an older build 383 Stroker in it; gone through & tuned recently by a Corvette specialty shop in July 2017. The original, matching numbers 350 (which the last owner claimed was also rebuilt) can also be included in the sale of the car. That last owner had the car for 19 years prior to me purchasing it. The 383 Stroker has AFR heads and a Voodoo cam which has around 400hp. Has a 350 transmission with a mild shift kit. PS/PB/PW. It’s a fun, fast street car that someone can get in, start right up, and enjoy the summer with! I purchased the car in spring 2016 with the intentions of turning it pro-street. Well, long story short, I ended up sticking quite a bit of time and money into it making it more drive-able instead. Had every expectation of continuing to work on and build the car further but luck would have it that I ran across a supercharged C6 for sale last past summer that I couldn’t pass up; well, I barely have time to drive one toy let alone two so the C3 was only driven for right around 300 miles all last summer (took it on two Vette cruises and a couple of other short drives). Odometer has 59,300 miles on it; I think this is the original # of miles but of course you can never be certain with this age of car. Some of the new parts within the last year include; -4 new American Racing Torq Thrust (polished) with BFG Radial TA 235/60R15 on the front and Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S 255/60R15 in the back (both sets of tires were mounted with the brand new rims together and the whole package has less than 300 miles on them). -Interior door panels -Rear brakes; pads, calipers, and rotors -Upper and lower ball joints and control arms -Power steering pump -Both sides’ window motors -Freshly tinted windows all the way around -Rear wheel bearings -Rear axle U-joints -Mono composite rear leaf spring -Transmission shaft seal -Headlight actuators -Engine dress-up (valve covers and air cleaner) -Plugs, wires, rotor -T-top traveling case -All belts and hoses I wouldn’t consider it a show car per se though I have taken it to a couple of Corvette shows since I’ve had it and it fits right in and turns heads. Paint shines brightly though it does have a few blemishes (it’s an older restoration paint job; not sure on the year) and the interior is of driver quality (good dash & decent console. I have seat covers on ‘okay’ quality seats. The carpet is the roughest part of the interior). T-Tops do NOT leak. Overall, the car is a great driver quality C3 Vette that can be reliably driven immediately. In my opinion, it would make a perfect starter Corvette. Note: When I just took the car out of the storage and then for a short drive, the ‘brake’ dash light was coming on occasionally in city driving only but the car was consistently stopping on a dime (guessing that there must be a vacuum leak). Note: The car is also available locally and the auction may end early if sold to a local buyer.
