Vehicle description
1975 TRIUMPH SPITFIRE WITH FACTORY HARDTOP
PRICE REDUCED TO $6,875
French Blue
Same adult owner (now 66 years old) since 1989 (29 years) - always garaged
NEW: Weber downdraft carburetor (w/manual choke) and intake manifold, Petronix electronic ignition, Lucas coil, spark plugs, fuel filter, Interstate battery, distributor cap, oil change and filter, spark plug wires, new grounding of tail lamp & back up lights (just passed NYS inspection)
RECENT: Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires, full carpet set, starter solenoid, muffler, right front control arm, front brake rotors and pads, new bonnet/hood assembly (car was backed into while parked for NYS inspection in 2015 - broke headlight and slightly buckled hood and fender - whole assembly was replaced with new unit from Great Britain via the Roadster Factory) Convertible top frame has had recent weld repair and still needs a rivet popped out and replaced, Robbins top in good condition – full body repaint in 1990
Haynes manual, new spare starter, Covercraft car cover
Speedometer/odometer did not work in 1989 when I purchased the Spitfire from a client who had stored the car for several years. Odometer read 34,291. Replaced cable & it snapped again after the next drive so it still reads 34,291. Car rarely driven (5-6 times a year) and was off the road for 5 years in the 2000s.
Great car, but have not been driving it as I have other interests (a Vespa PX150 & a Saab convertible)
Dog/Navigator not included with sale.
