1975 FJ 40 Land Cruiser with 350 ci Chevy V8. The vehicle has been sitting for a few months, but it starts without issue and runs great. The frame appears solid with no major rust observed. There is some significant rust on the front of the hood, but overall the body is in good shape for an FJ of this age. The driver’s side fender also has a bend in it. Odometer read 93k, but true mileage is unknown. Engine conversion was performed by a previous owner who indicated that at the time of my purchase it had been recently rebuilt. New headers and side exit exhaust were installed a few years ago. It is riding on a fairly new set of 33X12.5 BFG TA tires There is an issue with the brakes, the rear chamber of the master cylinder loses fluid. There are no obvious leaks and I am unsure where the issue lies. I have not had the time to troubleshoot it, but I suspect a leaky line or wheel cylinder (though all the wheel cylinders were replaced a few years ago). You may be able to fill and bleed the system and drive it home, but since I have not driven it is a while I would recommend against it. This has been a fun weekend ride for me and I hate to part with it, but since I have not had time to devote to it the time has come to let it go. You can fix the brakes and enjoy it as it is, or it is a great candidate for restoration.
