Vehicle description

A close replica, in honor of the all time classic movie, the BLUES BROTHERS : I present to you, the BLUESMOBILE .
This car is not a accurate replica, but, it"s close. The actual movie car was an actual Police vehicle, mine however lived a much more boring life, it was owned by one couple and their neighbor (the neighbour got it once the old lady passed away, and sold it to me. . ) it"s whole life as a family sedan. The car was parked away in a garage since around 1995 to about two years ago, as the widow could not bring herself to sell the car. . it was picked up after she passed.
The actual movie car was a police equipped 1974 Dodge Monaco four door sedan. My car is a 1975 Plymouth GranFury four door hard top. . it has a few more creature comforts and finer finish. . my car also has a vinyl top.
The Plymouth is originally burgundy, the door jams, hood and trunk jams still show the original color.
The car runs and drives, fine. . although currently the windshield wipers do not function. It could also use some new tires, the rubber is good on these, they are just getting on in years. . the carburetor either needs cleaning or tuning, it"s fine, however, sometimes it bogs down when you floor it. . just don"t jump over any draw bridges and you"ll be alright.
I painted the car flat black on purpose, we used a special primer for vinyl for the white roof. . the paint looks just great!
The interior for the most part is good, see the pictures, you"ll see an actual hole chewed through the seat. . no, it"s not for me to hide the beer bottle through the police road checks (although, that would be a good spot), one winter a mouse was in the garage where the car was stored and this was the result. The carpet, dash, headliner and rear valance are all in awesome condition
The glass is good, although the front windshield has a small semi circular crack in the passenger lower corner, it should not ever spread and it goes from side to side. See pictures for details.
The car originally was quite plush for its day, I took off all the chrome trim (one small piece has been misplaced) and it is in the truck, I left most of the little nibs on the car that the trim is attached to, in case you ever want to re attach it. . some people love these GranFurys, and this one could easily be converted back to it"s original classy glory.
I am part of a movie car club, and we have our eye on a period correct BLUESMOBILE and we want to be ready to buy it, if and when it becomes available, this is why this one is for sale.
I will not disclose the Reserve Bid. I assist with delivery. . that entails me driving it to a local transportation yard, or if you live in the US, to the Sumas Washington border crossing, but only to the Canadian side. . I cannot cross the border with the vehicle, there are procedures you need to follow, not me. . please contact your US Customs Service for more details.
