Vehicle description
Here"s your chance to own a very RARE, incredibly solid, 1975 Ford Elite (formally Gran Torino, Ebay doesn"t have a "elite" model name). This vehicle had been parked for 29 years until I purchased it, so the mileage you see is the original mileage. Over the course of a week, I repaired anything and everything it needed to run and drive. I made a 600 mile road trip home in the car, and it ran GREAT! In fact, I even got around 13 MPG in the car. Clean title, ready to transfer to your name. Title states "year registered 1975", "year model 1976". Not sure which it is.
This is a absolutely perfect foundation for a restoration (there"s only 1 small spot of rust behind the passenger rear tire) OR just drive it as is with awesome looking Patina!
400 Engine, C6 Transmission, and a 9" rear end! Car has interesting factory upgraded options like AC, Tilt, Cruise, Tach/Gauge package, Vinyl top.
Here"s the list of new parts I just put into the car, Over $1,100 not including labor. 4 tires with only 600 miles on them (one doesn"t have white letters, but it"s the same exact brand and size) Battery voltage relay Ignition control unit positive and negative battery cables battery Starter solenoid Distributor cap Distributor rotor Spark plug wires Spark plugs Alternator belt A/C Belt Brake Master Cylinder The car runs and drives, but still does need work. Mice had gotten into the wiring. I replaced everything needed to operate the car, however tail lights, dash lights, radio, and turn signals still do not function. There"s a switch mounted on the brake pedal wired into temporary trailer lights for now. The brake pedal sticks "down", you have to lift it back up with your foot right now. Brakes work wonderfully, just the pedal sticks. Believe it just needs a new return spring but haven"t looked.
IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS PLEASE EMAIL ME AT [email protected] RIGHT AWAY SO I CAN GET YOU ANSWERS. I"m brutally honest when it comes to selling cars, that"s how I"ve maintained a 100% selling rating after 10+ years of selling classics. If you don"t ask questions, I can"t help you be satisfied with your purchase, it"s that simple. No you cannot drive this car home. No license plates, or registration, bring a trailer. Yes I can "store" the car for a short period, but would like it gone at most a couple weeks after auction. Yes, I can and will load it on a carrier if you want to use transport. I will send you photos of the car loaded, and mail you the title. I can work directly with your shipper (have done it dozens of times). Paypal deposit owed immediately at auction end. Bidders understand I have the right to cancel auction at any time. Bidders with under a 50 rating, will have their bids removed. Buyer is responsible for shipping and all associated costs, taxes and fees. Car is located just north of Minneapolis, MN, in a town called Coon Rapids, MN. It is stored indoors.
