[1] Note about Air Conditioning. . it was removed by a prior owner and there is no compressor. I have no parts, but my mechanic"s assessment is that it should just need the compressor and connections. I noted there is an AC Delco (Part 1520515) which sells for $185 on Rock Auto. A qualified mechanic should be able to put the system back into operation.
[2] I have discounted this listing to reflect that the convertible top needs to be replaced. As a buyer, you have three options (possibly more). One option is to buy "AS IS" and operate the car without raising the top. Another option is to replace the rear glass and work around the mechanical issues. Another option is to completely replace the top.
Out of an abundance of caution, I have discounted this auction by $2,400 off the original asking price. I have a professional estimate for a full top replacement (window + top) from Restoration & Repair Inc. in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Their estimate is just under $2,400 for the full project. A glass-only replacement was $1,180.

The top opens and closes, the motor and switch is operational with no issues. The mechanics are mostly solid, however they are not properly attached at the base in the well, and the cross beam has become unglued from the top. In order to operate the top (open or close it) a person will need careful training, unless and until the replacement project is completed. The glass panel needs to be replaced. The well liner and seal is not tight and needs to be replaced. The $2,400 project recommended above fully addresses all of these issues . That is why I have discounted the listing by $2,400. If you decide to drive "as is" and not do the repair, then you"re at a financial advantage but accept the risk of not having the top fully operational. Once the auction concludes, I will have no involvement whatsoever with the convertible top. While I can provide the paperwork on the estimate I received, I am not offering to help coordinate the repair, communicate with potential repair shops, or handle any aspect of the convertible top. I will simply provide you the information I have in my possession, which is the estimate sheet from R&R and their contact information.
