Vehicle description
This is a fairly rare 1975 Buick Century Indianapolis 500 pace car. I purchased this car years ago and have been collecting parts since then with good intentions to get it restored. I purchased another Buick to be a donor but ended up restoring that one. So the time has come to let this really cool car go.
It has the original 350-4bl / turbo 350 transmission. I was able to get it running briefly after I purchased it but planned on replacing the drive train with a 455/turbo 400 set up.
I was most recently working on the floor pans. The passenger side rear needs to be replaced (I will include patch panel) and the rest is fair but new owner may want to address other areas.
The body is really nice and straight. There are only a few very small dings but one needs to look close to see them. There is some rust in the lower quarters but are not rotted. This car originally came from Montana and then went to Northern California. The frame is solid. It was stored outside for some time which is where the floor pan issues arose.
I do have the original title for the vehicle. However, it is not in my name as the previous owner never put it in his name. I have talked to my DMV office and it doesn"t sound like a big deal to get a new title in my name. I have recently titled a car with no title and was a fairly simple process (at least in Texas).
Extra parts included are:
- Replacement trunk lid - Replacement t-top glass (originals are cracked)
- Replacement steering column - Balanced drive shaft
- Posi-Track rear end - Replacement bumpers (front & rear) - New starter
I have added 12 photos so you can get an idea of what we are dealing with. If you would like any additional details or photos, please let me know and I will get those to you.
