Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1974 Volvo 164 is an original. The owner has had it for 5 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes Sad to let her go. .but I just don’t drive her enough. Exterior Here we have a Brahms Symphony on wheels. a low-milage, original paint (Cypress Green) example more venerable than the Sphinx. The front end is almost a shrine; just looking it makes you feel like a big-shot from a distant age. Certainly it is no Ferrari. .the car lumbers about town. In truth, it doesn’t accelerate but rather gains momentum. It supplies a ride not exciting in terms of power and handling, but something just as worthy and, it could be argued, more rare: a ride exciting because it is authentic. Excitement takes many different forms. It may be derived from diverse sources. For some, enjoying an authentic moment in an old machine is inimitable. The world, after all, is full of exciting rides. But for some rubes (if which I am one) exciting rides just don’t do it. For the discriminating, lumbering around town in such a machine like this is sublime. This sap know absolutely nothing about cars. I’m a book collector. I suspect I’m applying a book collectors aesthetic to cars like this charming 164E . So here we go: “First Edition, First Printing, Fine/Near Fine. Dust wrapper unclipped with a touch of barely-noticeable edge-wear. A splendid copy.” Interior Engine Created on the Motors app
