Electric Beetle! ! I have a 1974 Super Beetle that has been converted to electric 96 volt. The beetle runs on 8 12 volt deep cycle car batteries plus 1 12 volt battery for auxiliary. It has an open source motor controller allowing up to 144 volts to allow for a variety of battery packs. IT NEEDS A NEW BATTERY SOURCE, but didn’t replace so the new owner can decide whether they want to stick with 12 volt deep cycle batteries or upgrade to lithium batteries or a battery pack from a Tesla. Beetle has been restored and is in excellent condition with a few paint chips and cracks shown in the last 3 pictures. The electric conversion kit alone at www.evwest.com costs $16,893. I took the bumpers off but I have them and they will be included with the sale.
