Vehicle description
Hello,
I"ve got a 1974 VW bus project for sale.
Here"s what I know.
The bus is mostly complete.
The title is clear. The engine turns over freely.
The body and all metal parts have been sandblasted and are bare metal. Needs primer.
I have all the windows. Front window has a scratch where the wiper arm rotates.
The interior is complete minus the middle seat. However, the panels are all beat up and need to be tossed. The odometer is showing 80993.
I bought this from a guy who started the project six years or so with his kid. He disassembled a running bus (I CANNOT vouch for any of this story) and put all the parts in boxes. Then he let everything sit for a few years and then took the body for sandblasting. Then the bus sat for a while longer and he decided to move the project out of his garage. I, unrealistically, thought I could take over and complete this project so I bought it from him earlier this summer.
So far I"ve unboxed everything, bought an engine stand and organized all the parts on some shelves. Beyond that, I can"t say that I"ve done a single thing to the bus other than walk around it in the garage.
Please let me know if you have any questions, want specific photos, etc. and I"ll gladly do what I can. Obviously, this bus is not driveable and will need to be trailered home.
Thanks,
Mark
