Vehicle description
Yes folks, you saw that right - this is a one of a kind V8 Spitfire. And it"s not just any V8 either, it"s a mid-60s Chevy 327. So you can have all the fun of a Shelby Cobra at a tiny fraction of the price, and you"re guaranteed to be the center of attention wherever you go.
I didn"t do the engine conversion, so I"ll describe as best I can: It has the 327 SBC with a T-5 manual and what I believe is still the Triumph differential. Cooling system is via dual electric fans (pusher and puller) controlled by a manual switch on the dash. (But trust me, you"re gonna want them on.) Edelbrock Performer intake with Edelbrock carburetor, looks to be either 600 or 625, manual choke. Polished Hilborn-style scoop from Summit Racing. One-off exhaust manifolds with dual exhaust, Magnaflow muffler and tips.
Car has been with my shop for about two months. We did all new brakes front (rotors, calipers, ceramic pads) and rear (drums, shoes, hardware, wheel cylinders, adjusters), new shocks, new coils, new bearings, and new wheels (Revolution Wheels 13x5.5 from Rimmer Bros UK) and Tires (Hankook Kinergy 175/13). Check the SQ Motorsports channel on U Toob for detailed videos on the work.
I have an aftermarket hardtop painted to match; not currently on the car because it"s missing the lever attachments at the windshield. I also have a softtop frame which will be included; will need a new top attached if you want to use. Both tops included in sale.
I also have the 5 original steel wheels (fair condition; will need to be rechromed or at least a LOT of polish) and the 15 inch Ford Focus wheels shown in the later pics - which were taken off because they need a big adapter on the studs which I don"t recommend using. Winning bidder to add $150 for either spare set of wheels or 200 and I"ll include both; you"d basically just be getting wheels at that point because those sets of tires shouldn"t be reused.
Car has a clean title and current KY historic registration.
Email me with additional questions, etc.
