Vehicle description
1974 Porsche 911
This 1974 Porsche 911 coupe shows less than 25k miles and is finished in Bitter Chocolate over a Cinnamon leatherette interior. It was sold new from Porsche-Audi at O’Hare in Elk Grove, Illinois on July 12th, 1974 and reportedly remained with the original owner until acquisition in 2016. Power comes from a fuel-injected 2.7-liter flat-six paired with a 915 five-speed manual transaxle. Options from the factory include a set of Fuchs alloy wheels, Koni shocks, front and rear sway bars, and tinted glass. This 911 is now offered with owner’s manuals, service records, extra keys, a factory tool roll, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean California title.
Optional 15″ Fuchs alloy wheels wear 205/60 Pirelli P4 tires showing date codes from 2014. The factory suspension features optional Koni shocks along with front and rear sway bars.
The Cinnamon leatherette interior features high-back front bucket seats, fold-down rear jump seats, and matching polyester carpeting. Hörsteler coco mats line the floorboards, and a factory Blaupunkt radio is fitted.
A leather-wrapped three-spoke Carrera steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation including a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,250-rpm redline, an oil temperature and pressure gauge, a fuel and oil level gauge, and a clock. The five-digit mechanical odometer displays just under 25k miles.
Power comes from a CIS fuel-injected 2.7-liter flat-six that sends power to the rear wheels through a five-speed 915 manual transaxle. Cooling is aided by an auxiliary oil cooler that was added behind the front fender.
