“The 318 engine (i think it's the original 318 but i'm not sure, i haven't checked the block #'s) moves the car to the store & back but is not fast. If you want real V8 power then a larger engine is needed, you can drop pretty much anything into the engine bay- there's plenty of room.” |

Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1974 Plymouth Satellite / Road Runner is a project vehicle. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle is drivable and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes The 318 engine (i think it's the original 318 but i'm not sure, i haven't checked the block #'s) moves the car to the store & back but is not fast. If you want real V8 power then a larger engine is needed, you can drop pretty much anything into the engine bay- there's plenty of room. Vehicle Details 1974 Plymouth Satellite. RP23G4G194736 Vin code R Satellite/Sebring, P for Satellite Sebring Plus (2nd digit M is the code for the Road Runner model, which this car isn't), 23 for 2dr hardtop, G for 318 2bbl carb (now has Edelbrock 4bbl). 4 for 1974, G for St. Louis MO plant, car #194736. 102k miles on odometer- may or may not be accurate. I bought the car locally in 2014 and only drive it once in a while. Car has mostly been parked for the last year, the gas is old and a tune up is needed, it still runs & drives. Car can be driven a short distance but if it is leaving Port Charlotte, FL then you have to tow/ship it as a matter of good common sense- this Plymouth is 46 years old. I have more cars than I can drive (6 total) and it is time to let this one go. The car has been out in the weather, the sun & rain damage can be seen in the pictures, I've left the rust visible without doing quickie bondo repair so the buyer can see the actual body condition, there is some cancer but it hasn't gone terminal. The underside looks good. The car can be fixed up a bit and driven as it is by someone who can maintain an old car, I would recommend really going over it as things like the electrical wiring look to be original. The car is a head turner and many people smile when they see it, even in its current condition. I like to keep to myself and don't really want the attention, but it is a great car to have if I want to make dating moves on middle-age women at the grocery store. You are purchasing an affordable running fixer-upper, it needs work and isn't a show car- it's a driver. The price & reserve price are firm, even if this isn't a Road Runner or a 1966-1972 model, it is a completely awesome car- one of the better body styles made in 1974. Look at it from the back, this is a muscle car if i ever saw one. Exterior Interior Engine Download the Motors app
