1974 K5 GMC Jimmy (same as a Chevy Blazer) -Smog exempt-full-convertible -4wd 1/2 ton -6 lug axles -Smallblock 350 V8-TH350 auto transmission -203 T-case w/part-time kit and locking hubs -A/C all there but not connected (hvac controls are stuck in the cab. .no belt on compressor) -factory tach cluster (not currently working) -new brakes all around, new booster and master cylinder -new shocks -new radiator -new tires (less than 500 miles) -new battery -new softtopper (no hardtop) -new windshield -new starter and ignition switch
Runs, drives and stops well. Occasionally has a hot start issue where starter doesn"t seem to engage properly. It has never not started for me it just is finicky at times. Could be a starter shimming issue, flexplate and/or timing issue. Haven"t had time to diagnose it. This is Definitely a project. Would make a perfect hunting rig as is. See pictures for vehicle condition. If you"re looking for a show truck this is not it. Needs rust repair. .A lot. .(rockers, core support, wheel openings, firewall)Floors are pretty solid.
