Introduced in 1966, the Jensen Interceptor combined Italian design by Touring of Milan, and American V-8 performance, and luxurious British craftsmanship. Just 5,655 2+2 Interceptors were produced over their production run. The luxurious Interceptor was an exotic alternative to established iconic Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce Grand Touring models of the era. This example has been in Long Island, NY since new with just three-owners. Its most recent owner has own this Interceptor for over 16 years and installed a fresh and correct 440ci Chrysler V8 just 1,000 miles ago. The engine has all new internals, crank, pistons, connecting rods, fuel and water pumps and a mild Cam upgrade. It features an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold and Performer 750cfm 4-barrel carburetor. The radiator was removed and re-cored. This Interceptor has been a regular participant at Jensen East Nationals in Virginia, Philadelphia, Watkins Glen, Gettysburg, and Rhinebeck, NY. It recently had a fresh oil service. This Jensen would benefit from some further mechanical and cosmetic maintenance and restoration, we are seeking another enthusiast home where it can be taken to the next level and thus make for an excellent driving touring car. It is complete with its original owner’s manual, factory repair manual, service records, spare tire, jack and tool kit.
