Vehicle description
1974 Jensen Interceptor 440cui Exterior Color: Orange Copper Interior Color: Beige Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic Engine: 440 Magnum V8 Title Condition: Clear Vehicle Description Here"s your chance to own an extremely original and unmolested Jensen Interceptor with the famous 440 Chrysler engine. This car has never been restored and has spent most of the last 30 years in a climate-controlled garage only being driven occasionally to keep it in working order. The interceptors are truly unique vehicles. You have the last of the great 60"s muscle luxury GT"s. If you look at the other European GT"s powered by American engines such as the Iso . . you realize the Jensens are a bargain in today"s market.
The interior is actually in very good condition but the leather dye on the door panels, front seats and console has worn unevenly and would benefit greatly from a re-dye. The driver"s seat leather does need repair or recovering. There are no cracks in the dash. The wood around the gear selector has excellent veneer, but the clear finish coat has cracked as is typical on English cars of this era.
The original 440 engine starts and runs very well with no smoking, rattles or any other bad habits. it would take very little to make a daily driver out of this car. Wouldn"t be nice to own an exotic with a powerful engine that can be serviced with parts from your local parts store?
Are you looking for a very rare classic car with the performance and amenities to be safe and enjoyable on the road with modern traffic? Do you think having the only car of its type at the car show or cruise in is a plus? This is your car!

About Vintage Planet Vintage planet is a passion driven business founded by Robert Hall and Marcus Heurich. Marcus grew up in a small town in Bavaria driving German cars but dreaming of owning American muscle cars and living in the US. Robert grew up in a small town in Tennessee driving German cars and dreaming of running flat-out on the Autobahn in Bavaria! Not too long ago fate brought these two gearheads together. Well it wasn’t actually fate it was Craigslist! Marcus and his wife Christina were in Tennessee looking for some classic American iron when they found Robert’s ad for a 1963 Buick Electra 225. Within a few short hours Marcus was introduced to Arnold Palmer ice tea and the groundwork was laid for Vintage Planet! These two brothers from another mother quickly realized they had very similar taste in cars, Motorsports and military aircraft, so with this much in common how could they possibly not just go all in and start a business buying, selling, servicing and consigning classic and specialty cars. For several years Marcus operated his business in Bavaria and Robert has owned and operated American Powertrain and The Driven Man in Tennessee. In 2018 these businesses move into a multi building location just off of I-40 exit 290 in Cookeville Tennessee. Cookeville may not be the obvious hub of classic car activity, but it is within a day’s Drive of the majority of the population of the Eastern US. The location right up against I-40 means the directions to Los Angeles are simply “turn left out of the driveway, take your first right and your first left. Go to the end of the road and that’s LA!” Whether you’re buying your first classic car or your 100th you’ll enjoy working with Vintage Planet. If you are selling a prized family heirloom or just thinning out your collection you will appreciate the aimiable respect and professionalism delivered by Vintage Planet in each and every one of their consignment situations. The Vintage Planet staff know a well-maintained classic car is a joy to own and drive, but a poorly maintained one is a burden to own, and that is why Vintage Planet service center exists. Whether your car needs just a tune up or if it has been sitting for years and needs a thorough resurrecting you will find what you need in Vintage Planet’s 12,000 square foot climate controlled garage. Whether you are buying, selling or maintaining a classic or specialty car Vintage Planet has what you’re looking for. Be bold. Drive old, and we hope to see you soon!
