"74 JENSEN HEALEY
RARE BRITISH ROADSTER
GREAT PROJECT CAR
You have found a very cool British Roadster. These Jensen Healeys were built from 1972-1976 and just 10503 were ever made. I"m not sure how many made it to the US and I"m unsure of how many may be left but here is an opportunity to own a really cool piece of history. Now, this car belonged to my brother in law who has recently passed, he bought the car back in the mid 2000"s and never got around to completing the project. The car will need a complete restoration, paint, interior and a mechanical refresh at the very least. I have never personally heard the car run so I cannot attest to the condition of the mechanicals but it appears everything is there, from pushing it around it appears the clutch is okay, the brakes grab and the park brake is functional. The car has tires that hold air and is easily moved around as it hardly weighs anything. The body of the car is quite straight with no major dings, dents or apparent corrosion issues, it was originally delivered in it"s original color of Yellow (color code 8684) with a black interior. While the interior remains it"s original black, somebody took the liberty of refinishing the car in red, not a very high quality color change as you can see in the photos. If you look at the undercarriage, you will see that the only real rust appears to be on the passenger floor-board, the driver"s side floor-board has been reinforced with steel plate, bottoms of the doors are quite clean and straight. Under the carpet in the trunk there is some light surface corrosion but nothing a scuff and recoat wouldn"t remedy. The convertible top is "gone" however the frame is in good shape and moves from open to closed position easily with no "kinking". Glass is excellent all the way around, nice and clear, nice windshield as well. The interior will need to be redone as you can see but again, it"s all "there". The car is very complete overall and looks like it would be a fun roadster to drive. I hold a private PA title with salvage status that is signed and will convey to the next owner. These cars sell for $15,000 plus in nice condition at collector auctions but you can have this complete 74 Convertible at YOUR price. That"s right, opening bid is $99 and there will be absolutely NO RESERVE regardless of final price. That being said, there will be NO "negative feedback" tolerated on a car listed with no reserve and needing a full restoration. I am happy to answer any and all questions to the best of my ability (I"m not a Jensen Healey "expert") PRIOR to you bidding. If you bid and you win, your bid is a legally binding contract and you will be an owner. Thanks for your cooperation and for taking the time to look at our Jensen, get your bids in!
This photo below depicts the minor surface corrosion under the trunk mat. Nothing major at all.
This picture below is not very appealing but is shows there is no rust on the interior of the rear 1/4 panels in the trunk and the original Yellow color.
