1974 Jeep CJ - 5 Mid restoration project
Body and frame are solid, one of the best I’ve seen. Running gears are good, need to figure out the timing issue. Doesn’t walk going down the road like most do, steering is tight. Needs painted, needs wiring harness cleaned up; no fuse block, could use that. Needs paint; no top or doors; was going to rhino line the floorboards. One rusted spot under drivers seat.
Motor is a 360 V8 from a Jeep Wagoneer - Ran good until a couple months ago; it jumped time, and I haven’t had a chance to tear into it and see if it’s just the timing chain, or a deeper issue. Has new radiator, new Edlebrock intake and carburetor, new coil and distrubitor, I have a couple videos of it running. I don’t think it will be hard to get going again, I just don’t have a place to do it right now.
4 Wheel drive. 4 speed It’s a fun little Jeep. I was building it for a beach runner, and had to move due to changing jobs, So I was driving it on weekends, while working on it.
Needs a windshield, and wiper blades. Wiper motor doesn’t run; I haven’t checked to see if it’s a wiring issue. Heater blower is noisy; probably needs bearings replaced. I have a new dimmer switch, wiper switch, and shift knob to go with it. Fuel gauge doesn’t work, all other gauges work. Lights work. Has bumper mounted spare tire carrier
Jeep is for sale locally, so I have the right to end the auction if it sells here.
Local pickup, or arranged shipping; I’ll help load. Jeep doesn’t leave here until I have cash in hand, or payment clears
