Vehicle description
1974 International Harvester Scout II 345 V8, Automatic Transmission. Project vehicle. This one has good bones but will need rust repair and mechanicals. I’ll try to lay out the good and the bad – please feel free to ask questions. The good: Body is straight, all panels line up well and this appears to be an accident free Scout II Original paint – debatable whether that’s good but it is a survivor Original bucket seats, seat covers on them Back seat is good Dashboard and dash panel are original and in good condition for 1974 Frame and major mechanicals appear to be in good condition I am including a 345 engine that came out of a good running Scout that includes alternator, power steering, etc, full good running Scout 345. Includes an additional passenger door with good glass Top is in average to good condition for 1974 Windshield frame is relatively rust free Good set of tires and wheels I have clear title from Idaho The bad: Floors are rusty and in need of replacement Some of the body mounts will need to be replaced, frame good, mounts rusted. Tailgate is not great and has some rot at the bottom I was told the 345 in the Scout now runs, but it’s not the correct 1974 motor – can be rebuilt/sold Passenger window is broken No battery There are rust spots in the quarters as depicted in the pictures, will need repair. I bought this one as a project, then Covid and other things forced a job change so I’m going to pass this one on – it’s just more than I can handle this summer. It would be an ideal project if you know how to weld/repair. In fixed up condition, this Scout can be worth a lot. Mileage taken from odometer - may be inaccurate. For the right sale price I will consider delivering to you. If it does not sell in this auction I will probably install the newer engine and re-list. I would like $500 deposit 24 hours from time of sale and the balance within 7 days.
