Vehicle description
Vehicle Details 1974 Dodge Power Wagon club cab 4x4 with Adventurer Sport package. The truck was purchased new in Phoenix and is a lifelong Arizona truck with no rust other than surface rust on areas where the finish has been scratched/scuffed. It was owned by one family until I purchased it. This is a great truck to restore or drive it as it is. I have a 1993 diesel truck with some rust so I was considering a diesel swap to for this truck, but decided against it. I can tell you I would much rather have the dings and dents of a solid Arizona truck than the bubbling rockers, rusted floors and rusted frame, shackle hangers etc of my 93. I consider this a very nice truck overall. That being said, I’ll do my part to describe the good and “not so good” accurately. The truck runs and drive good. The 360 motor was completely rebuilt about 40, 000 miles ago. The automatic transmission shifts good. The four wheel drive functions well. (I found it easiest to shift out of low range 4x4 with the engine off.) Although I only have a drop or two under the truck on my concrete, I can see some oil build up on the exterior of the transfer case. It’s possible a leak was fixed before I owned it. All exterior lights including cargo light function properly except for left front clearance light which needs replaced. See pic. The heater works great. The carb has a manual choke which is operated via the choke cable inside the cab. This was a factory A/C truck, but the under hood components have been removed. The A/C heat controls and all of the interior duct work, vents etc are still there so it could be switched back to an A/C truck. All of the glass is good. The windows and doors function well. The cruise control isn’t connected. Also, the auxiliary gas tank needs the new “Y” piece which I am told is about $40 at Oreilly’s. The oil pressure gauge works intermittently. Also, the brake light on the dash occasionally flickers on. There is a oil new sending unit on the back floorboard. Also, there is a piece of trim for the tailgate and the rear section of the headliner fiber board (not fabric) Ill leave on the rear floor board. The hood latch cable has been shortened and now operates from the grill area with a pull ring on it. The body is solid but does have dents. The tailgate functions properly (rattles so needs a rubber stop on drivers side) The bed floor is in good shape with only a few dents, but scratched up. Please take the time to zoom in and thoroughly inspect the entire body for yourself. If you have any question, please ask. The doors are both dented from the mirror brackets-driver’s side being the worst. I think the driver’s door could be easily pushed out by hand if the door panel was removed. Some “driveway” body work and spray can finish has been done in the auxiliary gas cap area. The body is single panel in that area so I can see from the back side the damage was very minor. The fender well trim in that area is fastened with two sided tape and is in need of the correct fasteners to be dependable on the road. The tires are good with the exception of the right rear having more wear than the rest. The brakes work well. Thanks for looking. Images Download the Motors app
