Vehicle description

I ran a vehicle identification number decoder report on this vehicle and found that it was originally a Sweptline box with a 440. Somewhere along the line some things were changed. I bought the truck specifically because I wanted a small block 1974 Stepside to build like the Mopar Muscle Truck that Steve Dulcich built on Roadkill Garage. I planned on installing a 360 with an overdrive transmission. The cab is in very good condition considering its age. It is a southwest desert truck and it has no rust, only minor dents and an amateur paint job. The Stepside box that was installed definitely needs some work as revealed in the photos. It now has a 318 with a 727 trans. I bought a new Holley Carburetor for the 318 which I intended to put on the 360 after it was built. With the new carb the 318 runs really well and the trans also works well. The picture of the dash is with the engine running. The truck has an 8.75 rear end with a limited slip differential and 3.55 gears which works really well. I am 78 years old and have recently been diagnosed with Light Chain Deposition Disease and Monoclonal Gammopathy, rare blood disorders, which have adversely affected my strength and stamina. Because of this condition, I have decided not to go forward with this project. The truck has a cracked windshield and needs new weather stripping on the doors. It also needs a new hardwood pickup bed floor and the glove box door is cracked. The truck has Goodyear Eagle GT II P255/60R15 tires which are in good condition. I was told when I bought the truck that it had new brake pads in the front and new lining on the rear but I have not had the rear drums off to verify that. This truck is a 20 footer, it looks better from a distance. It really needs a professional paint job.
