This is a 1974 BMW 3.0 CS. It is a highly desirable non sunroof, 4 speed car. It has been stored for many years. The engine is no longer with the car. The head gasket set in the trunk makes me think the engine was removed for work and it was never completed. The odometer states 74,671 miles and the title in my name states actual mileage.
It appears to be in its original paint and no previous accident damage has been spotted. These cars are notorious for rust and this one has some but not too bad considering. It has obvious rust in the floor pans and elsewhere. I"ve worked with many aircooled VW and Porsche cars and am familiar with rust. I"m sure this car is hiding some that isn"t easily visible to the eye but overall this looks like a great project car. With top cars selling for well into the 6 figures, this would be a great BMW E9 restoration or restormod candidate.
