“I have had this car in my collection for over 5 years. A very, very rare 454 AIR CONDITIONED 4 SPEED CONVERTIBLE - FULLY LOADED WITH PS, PB,PW, LEATHER, TILT/TELE. I spent over $15,000 in parts and labor to get the car dialed in. Since completing the work it was rarely driven and stored in my temperature controlled warehouse with 12 other cars. In July of 2020 the warehouse had a small fire. This car was in the area adjacent to the fire and sustained paint damage. My insurance carrier did not want to deal with replacing the carpet and some of the other areas that were affected by the smoke and damage to the hard top caused by fire fighters so they totaled it and paid the insured value. As part of my policy rider I was allowed to keep the car. I was planning to have my friend that did the work go over the car again but I've decided to sell as a salvage” |

Vehicle description
I have had this car in my collection for over 5 years. A very, very rare ( TANK STICKER INCLUDED ) - White with White top 454 AIR CONDITIONED, 4 SPEED CONVERTIBLE - FULLY LOADED WITH PS, PB, PW, SILVER LEATHER , TILT/TELE and HARD TOP. I spent well over $15,000 in parts and labor (receipts included) to get the car dialed in.
Since completing the work it was stored in my temperature controlled warehouse with 12 other cars.
In July of 2020 the facility had a small fire. This car was in the area adjacent to the fire and sustained some minor paint discoloring and damage from the firemen.
My insurance carrier did not want to deal with the possibility of the car retaining the smell of smoke replacing the carpet and some of the other areas that were affected by the smoke as well as paint and water damage to the hard top caused by fire fighters so they totaled it and paid the insured value.
The car was in great cosmetic condition when I bought it with a quality exterior lacquer repaint. The door jambs, decklid and under hood were not sprayed when the exterior was painted. I had the jabs resprayed with a base coat and clear. There are some minor areas where the heat from the fire "tinted" the white paint - most noticeable is in the driver door jamb where the new base / clear was applied. The car is intact & drivable.
The leather interior is original and should be professionally cleaned and detailed.
I noticed an antifreeze leak the other day which will need to be addressed
As part of a cherished collectible policy rider on my policy I was allowed to keep the car after the claim was paid.
I was planning to have my friend that did the work go over the car again but I"ve decided to just move on sell as a salvage.
This is a great opportunity to own a very rare car for about half price. I have the clear NJ title in my name.
Buyer will sign and notarize a written bill of sale stating that they are purchasing this vehicle as a SALVAGE vehicle. It will up to the purchaser to notify their DMV that a claim was paid.
Knowledgeable and Serious inquires only please.
