RARE! 1973 Volvo 1800 ES hatchback NO RESERVE AUCTION!
The 1800ES 3 door sports estate, hatchback, was only in production for 2 years, 1972-1973, making this a very rare model. It has the 1986cc 4 cylinder engine and 4-speed M40 manual with overdrive transmission.
My Dad purchased this car in March of 1991 and was a daily driver until Jan, 2017. then placed on non-op in June 2017 with the intention to restore it. it"s been sitting for over three years now, so my Dad decided it"s time to sell.
What you see is what you get. It is a complete car, however, there is quite a lot of rot throughout the car in all the common places for this model. The hood was missing when it was purchased and replaced with a good used hood. The front seats were aftermarket and replaced with a good used set of original seats. Everything else on the car is original. The interior will need complete restoration. The engine has good compression and the transmission shifts as it should. The fuel pump will need to be replaced and the brakes are soft, so it will need to be towed.
