About this vehicle This 1973 Volkswagen Transporter is a restored vehicle with updates to the exterior, interior and drivetrain. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes Can arrange delivery Vehicle Details This bus is an absolute show-stopper. You won’t find a better bus at this price point. I’ve got over $30K invested in her, not to mention the time. It was initially purchased as a project to work on with my 16 year old daughter. Unfortunately, she just can’t handle the manual transmission and is scared to drive it. I hate to see her go after all we’ve done to it but, unfortunately, I can’t afford to keep it in the garage. Here’s a list of what’s been done that I can remember. . •Extensive paint and body work •new sliding glass •all new seals and weatherstripping •new chrome (emblems, bumpers, mirrors, etc. ) •new seat upholstery, carpeting, and interior panels, and hardware •10 foot custom open air roof with ragtop •over $2,750 spent on the stereo system (Sony 9” LCD screen, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, etc. , JBL amp, speakers, and 12” sub) •new brakes, wheels, and tires •engine rebuild •complete VW tune-up •changed all fluids •dual carburetor rebuild •2 1/2” drop spindle install to lower the front end •new rear shocks I got a recent offer $25K but that’s not quite enough.
