Vehicle description
Very clean, almost completely restored metallic green with matching tan top/tan interior. Was professionally restored in the last 4 years by previous owner, new engine with sport cam so it has no problem keeping up with freeway traffic, new exhaust, new convertible top/frame, new carpet/interior/carpet in trunk, new smooth/clean paint job. Nice wheels, newer tires. All lights work, windshield wipers work. Recently replaced ignition/ignition switch and door locks so all has one key. Pioneer CD player with pioneer speakers.
Was a Nevada, then AZ, now CA car so rust free (except for one small spot where the paint bubbled too close to the exhaust when they installed the new exhaust).
Fine print: the windows need better alignment, needs new odometer (speedometer works fine), small rust spot/small chips touched up. The driver and passenger seat could use some better padding and the driver seat has a cigarette burn (previous owner did it).
Recently had it checked out by a vintage VW specialist who said it was a very nice/clean car overall. He also replaced the fan belt and adjusted the engine for optimal running. Registration is paid until February 2019.
This car is perfect if you want either a daily driver convertible or want a car you can restore a little bit without a lot of work. Runs perfectly and has no real problems so it’s ready to go without doing anything unless you really want to. Selling because we had some unexpected bills come up. It was my dream car but being an adult is more important I suppose. Ha
*it is for sale locally so we will remove early if sold
