Vehicle description

For sale is a very choice Porsche 914. This 1973 Porsche 914 is a factory “appearance group” model, with the desirable 2.0 Engine. The car has the factory sway bars, and factory chrome bumpers. With the larger 2.0 engine, this car was dubbed the "S" model, by Porsche in the United States. The car has the optional corduroy cloth seats, and they are redone according to the original specifications. Painted in the original Alaska blue, which was a special order color for 1973. The vehicle has been repainted inside and out, top to bottom.
One of the best color combos on the 914: a deep metallic blue with the aluminum trim shows off the lines in a great way.
This vehicle has dealer installed air conditioning. This car"s AC system has been upgraded over what was offered by the dealer in the seventies. It has a new Sanden compressor, a new improved evaporator, and new lines charged with R134a refrigerant. It is very nice to drive a Porsche 914 with air conditioning, especially in Texas.
The car has undergone extensive restoration. The engine is completely and newly rebuilt with less than 500 miles on it. The 2.0 engine was englarged to 2056 cc. It has the original fuel injection system, which has been rebuilt, including new injectors. The heat exchangers and exhaust is all original, and in great shape.
This car has undergone a 5-lug conversion so to enable it to run the aluminum Fuchs "Windmill" style wheels, which make the car look stunning. With machine work and all rebuilt brakes from PMB Performance, this car performs well with a new set of Maxilite Fuchs wheels (the wheels are TÜV approved, so they meet the highest modern German safety standards).
Subtle backdates are included with this car:
For example, the front bumper was rechromed without holes for mounting the rubber tits, giving it the cleaner look of the 1970-72 cars, or, the 914-6 look. The car also has the european front and rear tail light lenses, and the round sidemarkers were removed from the body, giving it the clearner look which the designers intended. The door sills are aluminum, along with a few other tasteful backdates that enhance the car’s beauty and performance.
This is a very choice automobile, restored by PCA member.
