Vehicle description

Here is my 1973 Porsche 914 1.7 for sale. This car is free of structural rust to the best my knowledge, as shown in the images, paint is a mat black that needs definitely needs refreshing (done by the previous owner). No hell hole issue. It is a California car that I originally purchased from a gentleman that had it for over 10 years in the desert.
I have spent a lot of time and money (over $15k) on this project and that does not include the original price I paid for the car. However, due to a change in family situation the car must go.
Here are the upgrades/work I have performed on the car:
Refurbished genuine 914/6 Rear Brakes (Supplied by PMB Performance) (very rare, cost $1700) New Brembo Aluminum Front Brakes (Supplied by PMB Performance) over $1000. New Rotors and Pads all round. (Supplied by PMB Performance) New brake braided brake hoses all round. Full 5-Lug conversion (all parts supplied by PMB Performance) (over $5k in parts). 911-T Front Struts complete with 911-T front hubs - new bearings, new ball-joints (all parts supplied by PMB Performance) New front Bilstein shocks (supplied by PMB Performance) Turbo tie-rod kit installed. Refurbished steering rack installed (supplied by 914 Rubber) 911 Rear hubs/108mm drive flanges, custom sway-away drive shafts, new CV"s (all parts supplied by PMB Performance) Rear trailing arms refurbished with new bearings. New Fuchs RSR Style 15" wheels (made by Maxillite) purchased $1570 New Sumitomo 195/65/15 tires 19mm master brake cylinder upgrade (supplied by 914 rubber) All injectors refurbished by Mr Injector. New battery. Various maintenance parts will be thrown in - distributor cap, belt, condenser etc. Oil recently changed. Transmission fluid changed. Seats and center rest upholstery renewed (kit from 914 rubber) Rear light lenses replaced (Supplied by Sierra Madre) Front light lenses replaced (Supplied by Sierra Madre) Momo Pro-Tipo Steering Wheel complete with Porsche Emblem Center Horn Button. New door handles, gear-knob, pedal rubbers. Fireball Optical Ignition System Fuel tank fully refurbished with POR-15 treatment. All fuel hoses replaced (except tunnel which looks fine). All vacuum hoses replaced.
Important: The car turns but back-fires badly and this obviously needs looking into, the engine will therefore not run. I no longer have the time or space to keep working on the car hence the reason for sale. This is an awesome project for someone to finish. You can see clearly the parts I have replaced, I have not spared expense as my original plans were for the car to be a 914-6 tribute. I will throw in a flat hard-tow bar kit that allows the car to be towed without a trailer.
Clean title in hand. No reserve. Car is located in San Diego. Please contact me with any additional questions or information required. I have receipts.
Good luck and thank you for looking.
