Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1973 Plymouth Duster is an original. The owner has had it for 5 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes $500 due within 24 hours of end of auction. Vehicle Details This is my '73 Duster. It runs great as you would expect a slant six to do. Transmission shifts great. Power steering is like butter. The paint (I believe) is original. It is tawny gold. Original color. I added the new' twister ' stripe pkg from Phoenix graphics. I have added the factory rear wing and dual snorkel hood scoop (it is non functional, but you can cut the hole in the hood if you want. The rallys look awesome and it has 14" white letter tires with just about 1,000 miles on them. The interior is clean but needs a front seat bottom cover or just drive it and enjoy. I will try to give you the good and the bad as honestly as I can. The good: great looking car. Paint shines great. Runs good. New battery. New tires. Vinyl too not torn. Excellent bumpers, grill, lights etc. Power steering. Straight body. It now has an aluminum radiator to keep it cool. All the lights work. The bad: manual drum brakes. They could use a brake job as they seem to need excessive pressure to stop. This may be normal manual brake situation. . Torn front seat bottom. There are small bubbles in the quarters. There is a slight 'draw' on the battery when parked for a few days. ( I just disconnect the negative). Fuel gauge inoperable. Interior needs trim restored. This is not a show car although I have seen many worse in shows. You could drive and enjoy this car without worrying about getting a ding in a parking lot. From ten feet away or when driving it looks awesome. When you get up close, you see it's minor imperfections. I am located in southwest Mississippi. 39633 This car has never been in a flood. You can probably drive it home but I would trailer it until you get used to it. I am not expressing any warranty. The reserve is very reasonable at $6000. I will not end the auction early, I am just letting you know that so you know this car is within reach. This car will need to be picked up by the end of August. No exceptions, since we are moving.
